This week, I entered the FotoWeekDC photography competition. I entered three photographs into the following categories: The Spirit of Washington DC, Travel and Contemporary Life. Today, I entered my first photography competition since (I think) I was in high school. Called, EXPOSURE, the competition is a New York based event. For the second time in two months, the greater Washington DC area was hit by a significant snow storm. This time, more than 30 inches of snow fell over a 30 hour period. This 360 degree panoramic photograph was taken on our street the day after the snow stopped. To see this photo in full screen, follow this link.

OK, my title wasn't 100% correct. My cameras are not added to one of the museums, however my entire collection is now included in the Smithsonian's Cameras Before Digital Flickr group. The camera above is my Kodak No.3A Folding Brownie. It is just about 100 years old (they were manufactured between 1909 and 1915).

Here is another one of my pinhole camera photographs I took while visiting Kauai, Hawaii. Like my earlier post, this photograph is now available for purchase in my photography collection.

I have started "geo locating" all of my photographs. What does that mean? Basically, plotting exactly where the photograph was taken via GPS, then using the latitude and longitude settings to represent the photograph within a Google Map. So far, I have all of the pictures in my morperphotography.com section of this site done. Click on a camera icon to see my photographs. Or click here to see a larger map.

This is one of my favorite photographs. I took this picture with a pinhole camera. Each picture taken with a pinhole camera is a bit of a surprise. And this surprise came out -- I think -- pretty cool.

Some call it the mid Atlantic's version of Niagara Falls. Great Falls, Virginia is spectacular and worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
